Tessa & Alex: September 21st, 2013, Provence

When Alex and I first began talking about our wedding, we learned pretty quickly that we were imagining very different things for our big day. I always pictured a small, very intimate ceremony, twenty people on a mountain top with flowers in my hair. He, however, thought of this as an opportunity to see friends and family that he hadn’t seen for years and then have the biggest party of his life. You can imagine the conversations that ensued.

However, luck came our way in the form of Un Grand Oui! Laura and Julie gave themselves over to us. From mediating our early discussion on size and location to choosing items to style our wedding to placing them and tweaking every detail our guests came in contact with.  My requests were difficult, my ideas and style very particular. But after months of discussion, talk of mood and decor and logistics, I saw my ideas understood and even better, executed.

My husband and I did compromise with each other on many details, but none of our requests, no matter their size or importance, went unaddressed with Laura and Julie. I was far away from my family in California, and wedding planning without my girlfriends was not how i pictured I would do it, but this was even better. Firstly, to have people who are creative enough to see my vision when its presented so vaguely and then bring it into reality was a gift. Secondly, to manage details that I myself could not, due to language or lack of time and knowledge on my part.

To say that our wedding day wouldn’t have been what is was without Un Grand Oui is an understatement. It may not have been at all. My feeling underwater in planning a wedding on a foreign country combined with Alex’s wishes for an extensive guest list and all the challenges of it; this was what these ladies were presented with and they sailed through the days with us, gracefully and calming making it happen no matter what. Un Grand Oui gave us the day we had no idea could actually have. Thank you Laura and Julie!

Becky & Tony: August 29, 2013, Provence

“Words cannot do justice to the work that “Un Grand OUI” did for our wedding in Provence in August, 2013. From our first contact, they were the most professional, organised and dedicated people we have ever worked with. We really wanted to make our wedding special and unique for us, our family and our guests and they did that in abundance. We decided to get married in Provence after experiencing the beautiful food, wine, scenery and wonderful atmosphere and it did not disappoint. The team organised everything for us from venue visits to food tastings to organising transport for our guests and everything in between. It was such a relief knowing that they were on top of everything and we didn’t have to worry about anything being in a different country with not much time to organise a wedding! Laura is the kindest and the most patient person to deal with. She met every question and any crisis with a level head and the perfect solution. The combination of her business expertise, local knowledge and excellent people skills made sure we got the best of everything. Julie’s beautiful style and vision created a fairy-tale reception full of wonderful details. The team created our amazing vintage photo booth, candy buffet, cigar bar, dessert buffet, fingerprint tree, unique guest books, the most beautifully decorated cheese cake, the list was endless. It really was picture perfect. I would advise anyone who wants to get married in Provence that it is the most wonderful experience and to hire the services of this fantastic team. Thank you Un Grand OUI for making our dreams become a reality.”

“Laura and Julie are terrific! We just wanted to say thank you for everything. You truly made our wedding run so smoothly; it was the happiest day of our lives! The photos are already uploaded and everyone has commented on how happy and relaxed we all look. Our guests have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to!”

Catherine and Julian: October 15, 2011, Provence

“We had a very low-key wedding with a just a handful of our closest friends and family. From our welcome at the airport all the way to our departure, the Un Grand OUI team really made us feel at home. We would never have found the stunning countryside “bastide” (typical Provençal house) where we got married without them. The whole trip was a dream come true. A big YES to Un Grand OUI!”

Margaret and Bruce: September 18, 2011, Provence and French Riviera

” I didn’t know what I was getting into at first but everything turned out wonderfully. Thank you Julie for organizing our unforgettable wedding weekend. There was not one single moment or choice that we regretted – everything from the accommodation to the meals to the wedding attire was very well organized. Merci beaucoup! “
